Leamington OPP

Yesterday afternoon (07-07-2023) we realized our car was missing from our driveway. When I called 911, I was treated with sympathy and prompt professionalism. Constable Keating arrived shortly afterwards; he was fully informed, very sympathetic, very polite and professional, and exuding confident optimistic enthusiasm. A short time later, he called to give us good news: he'd found our car, relatively undamaged, and not much worse for wear! He remained with the car until we could retrieve it. When we arrived, another officer kindly drove my wife to our car & Const. Keating. Both these officers showed a high degree of aptitude, friendliness, diligence and sympathy. All too often, people are far too quick to criticize or degrade those who spend every day in our service, performing a tremendously difficult and demanding job, within a fishbowl. More emphasis needs to be placed on all the numerous positive interactions with our police which are an everyday occurrence; this would accurately show our acknowledgement and gratitude, and perhaps give our police the encouragement that they deserve and have earned. Even if our car hadn't been recovered, or had been destroyed, the high level of concern, professionalism and courtesy is beyond question. I give my appreciation and respect to Constable Justin Keating, the other officers on his shift and the individuals answering the phones. I also hereby pledge to not write a poor review the next time I get a ticket! Hahahahahaa! Thanks again, guys! Keep up the good work!
